The book covers the theoretical base for conceptual design as a particular project work type.  All possible kinds of conceptual design tasks are considered and a formal method of their resolution, conceptual method, is developed.

Ontological systems are the logical framework which allows to create knowledge based ontological AI software. For example, CAD, search query extenders as well as automatic computation and knowledge extraction programs.

 

The book provides the stages of building general ontology through the ternary approach (ternary ontology). Some of the stages are followed by examples. In addition, the book reveals the technology of development of ontological systems on the example of the ontological system computing operating principles of technical systems.

 

New technical solutions found by the Novator software have proved the worth of the technology.

 

The book summarizes the information on the development and application of ontological systems, discussed in the Conceptual design book. 

The collection includes 250 inventive problems (problem situations). Most of them were published in various inventive problem-solving theory (TRIZ) books and other references. Some of the problem situations were developed by Method Company and they haven’t been published before.

 

The 75 inventive problems have detailed solutions created by the Novator software. The other 145 problems have answers, and the rest 30 problems have only conditions for independent solution.
